#2033 Fundraiser: “Poker Alice” Presentation

Presenter: Liz Duckworth

Poker Alice Tubbs is legendary in the West, famous for her big black cigar and her high-stakes life in gold rush boomtowns of the Rockies and the Black Hills. During her life, Poker Alice (1851-1930) encountered notorious characters including Soapy Smith, Calamity Jane, and Madame Moustache.”

Join PILLAR for a summer fundraiser where we explore the life and times of Poker Alice Tubbs through the eyes of local author Liz Duckworth.  Liz will present a portrayal of Poker Alice and then we will learn the story behind the story.  If you would like, there will be a signed copy of the book Poker Alice Tubbs: The Straight Story written by Liz for you to read prior to the presentation. The books will be available through porch pick up (additional details to come on how porch pickup will work).

Registration for this event will close Sunday, June 28 to allow time for you to pick up and read your book prior to the presentation.
