The presentation covers past pandemics and how modern medicine emerged to battle them.  It discusses the emerging pandemic threats of the twenty-first century.  It closes with where we stand today and the lessons we can draw from the current COVID-19 pandemic.

Michael LeMay, Professor Emeritus --California State University--San Bernardino, PhD in Political Science /History from the University of Minnesota, a BS and MA in Political Science /History from the University of Wisconsin. He is a retired professor who taught for 35 years at the University of Wisconsin, Frostberg State, and California State University at San Bernardino.
