#2017 The Historic Films of the Pikes Peak Region

This presentation highlights the historic films shot in the Pikes Peak Region from the first Edison film shot in 1897 to the many films shot by the Alexander Film Company, who relocated to Colorado Springs in 1927. Many of these films are archived in the collection of the Pikes Peak Library District and are also available to view on YouTube. The instructor, Steve Antonuccio, was responsible for archiving this collection during his 20 years as a librarian for the Pikes Peak Library District.

Steven Antonuccio, MLS in Communications from University of Colorado. He worked as a media specialist at PPCC, a manager of cable channel 17 for PPLD, and the Library Branch manager for Pueblo City-County Library District.
