Description

#2018 COS@150 History Stroll

On July 31, 1871, the story of the City of Colorado Springs began. A small group of people gathered near what is today the southeast corner of Cascade and Pikes Peak Avenues for a founding ceremony. Over the past 150 years, the city grew and developed around that very spot where the first stake was driven. As we venture to and around the three historic downtown parks - Acacia, Antlers, and Alamo - we’ll explore stories of celebration, innovation, and determination.

Location: Meet at the Colorado Springs Pioneer’s Museum, 215 S. Tejon St, Colorado Springs, CO 80903
